Summer 09/10 Launch Party!

As part of last weeks Melbourne Spring Fashion Week - Flamingo Sands held a cranking cocktail party at the exclusive Deck 10 - on the rooftop of The Adelphi Hotel.

The night was a huge success with gorgeous models strolling around looking glam - drinking cocktails and eating pink fairy floss. Guests were greeted in the laneway by a wash of pink lights and an 8-story high projected image of a sexy bikini clad model wearing a cheeky Flamingo Sands bikini and tank.

The party rocked on into the wee hours with guests leaving happy with their must have showbag of goodies!

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors - Absolut Vodka, James Boags Beer, Rosemount Wines, Diva, California Tan, Moxie, Siren Shoes, Bloom Cosmetics, Paul Mitchell, Sugadeaux Cupcakes and Lifelounge Magazine.

Is it cocktail time yet…?

It’s nearly the weekend and what better way to relax than with a sexy chilled cocktail…
An all time fave of ours is the Chocolate Martini…

The problem is you can’t stop at just one!

Here’s the recipe to make your own at home with friends.

Or then again - who can be bothered…
Go out and chat up a cute barman, and watch him make it for you!

Chocolate Martini

There are many ways to make a chocolate martini. You can pick your favorite spirit such as light rum, vodka or brandy as a base spirit to mix with a chocolate liqueur. If you’re looking for a fruity taste, pick a flavored vodka or rum such as citrus or raspberry. For a sweeter taste, use vanilla flavored vodka or rum. To garnish, coat a rim of martini glass or a swirl a chocolate syrup in a glass. Avoid putting the chunk of chocolate that sits at the bottom of the glass so that you won’t choke on it.

Ingredients:

- 2 oz base spirit (vodka, light rum or brandy)
- 1/2 oz chocolate liqueur
- 1/2 oz white creme de cacao
- Chocolate syrup to coat rim of martini glass

Coat rim of martini glass with chocolate syrup. Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a martini glass.

Mmmm - Yum!

(lose that junk in your trunk…)

Not quite sure if this workout is going to help you burn many calories, but it’s worth watching just for the leotards alone.

Love the zebra print – also love the tight waist belts and braces (not quite sure how one is meant to breathe…)

As Mickey Avalon would say – 1, 2, 3, 4 - get your booty on the dance floor, – work it out - shake it little momma, let me see you do the jane fonda…
