Summer has come early and Australia is the midst of a heat wave…
What better way to cool off than with a good old Lemonade Icy Pole or Frosty Fruit!
My personal fave is the good ol’ Sunny Boy.
They aren’t as big in size these days as they used to be – but they still rock!
What ever happened to the Bubble O’ Bill and the Smurf Icy Poles too…? The white side was the best - the blue side just made your tongue go all blue…
Other goodies were the Paddle Pop (banana and rainbow flavor ruled), The Rocket (with a jelly spaceman in the top), Lickity Split (2 sides – one side orange and one side green I think?)...
Mmmmmm… I’m off to the freezer section of the milk bar!

Remember when you would sunbake in reef oil all day until you had a dark tan with visible tan lines to show off to all of your friends at the end of a good 8 hours baking in the sun??!
I even had a friend who would use cooking oil and lie with a piece of aluminum foil behind him!
Times seemed a lot simpler then…

This is the worlds largest swimming pool…
Located in the South American resort of San Alfonso Del Mar in Chile. This artificial lagoon and swimming pool is 1 km in length, 35 metres deep and is equivalent in size to an incredible 6,000 standard domestic pools!
